Marque Heritage & Motorsport DNA
The History of Chevrolet
Conceived by legendary engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, the Corvette has served as General Motors' performance testbed since 1953. In 2020, the Corvette fulfilled Duntov's decades-long dream by transitioning to a mid-engine platform with the C8. The C8 Z06 features the LT6 5.5-liter naturally aspirated flat-plane crank V8—the most powerful naturally aspirated production V8 in automotive history.
